Law of Jiluk: Why is jiluk the only inspiration?
JILUK, what comes to your mind after reading that word?
When I read it first, I was confused. This book is authored by Inba Vignesh. Well, do you remember the way you started to talk first? No! Right, none of us know. Then there are moments when we are short of words, even when there are plenty of words to say in those situations when our mind is happy the conscious and subconscious become one.

Honestly, I read this book because it is plotted in the school chain I've completed my schooling. After reading the first part I was bound to read the second, the story is relatable. When we are in school, the tender age and fresh adults, trying to understand and believing that we are the wisest of all. The age of crushes and a new meaning of sexuality, this phase is represented in such a beautiful manner that you'll fall in love with your self. I had this book in mind to write about for a long time now, see when you read a good book it stays with you. So whenever I want to relive the memories of my adolescent past I'll re-read the book. It's not a very long read if you ever want to read it. The story is captivating and the suspense of jiluk will compel you to read more.
The school life of a defence brat in India is same for all, we go to KVS make friends, the place changes every 3-4 year and we are good at making new friends because all of us have been through the loss of the company of friends. I wrote "We" because I've been an Air mans' kid too, I know how it goes.

There is the main character same name as the writers, the pet name that you'll come across more will be Kumba and his friends Subin, Sarath and Gowri, the story revolves around these four friends Kumba being the lead character.
About the book, if you ask, your first question must be what's jiluk? Well if you read my blogs keenly you'll know how I don't give spoilers. ;) I'll tell you what you will gain from this book.
One thing I already mentioned, the time travel to your school life. The words chosen and the way it is sewed will definitely catch you. You may not have had any crushes or fantasies but you had friends and your family, you'll relate and talk to the writer all happy. Now, why it is the only inspiration? There may be a certain motivation that drags you to your studies or work, that may be a positive one or a negative one according to your choice, these things that you may not be even aware of, keeps you going. Finding Mom after coming back home makes you happy or just looking at your dad motivates you a little bit or catching a glimpse of the person you want to be with lifts you up a little too much, spending time with friends keeps you alive these are the little things we live for, these are the things that give life a meaning and purpose, these things collect and a jiluk atmosphere is created that is why it is the only inspiration. (Oh no no! that's not the meaning of jiluk if you are grinning.)
The second thing that I null from this book was how all of us are the same when it comes to movies and there impact on our mindset. For example, if you watch too many Bollywood or rom-com movies you'll start dreaming. Boy or girl, man or woman, I've always noticed it around and then this book made me realize how much we are into REEL life and how we need to stop ourselves from falling prey to it. You'll be amused to read how we hold ourselves from thoughts and reactions in general. These little things that you realize while reading books like Jiluk give you a sudden Jiluk moment that goes unnoticed in our busy lives. (you saw that, how I made an attempt to disclose what Jiluk is? :p )
The third thing that I was so happy to read and feel was the essence of friendship. There are a lot of books and movies that had the friendship stories (comment down and tell me your favorite friendship based book) this book was more my friendship type. Have you ever went out with your friends in search of an unknown treasure that you made up on your own? I remember when I was 2-3 grade kid, my friends and I were playing in the church compound and we found a boot and made up stories about the boot (silly childhood, yet the best), that's a glimpse of the friendship I had as a little child. This book made me recall those moments I spent with my friends as a child. The memories I had forgotten for so long came back to me and made my heart warm. You might have your special blanket or a pillow, or anything that makes you feel warm inside, this book is going to do something like that to your heart. I'm not insisting you to read it but if you do, I'm telling you you'll recall a lot more than you remember now.
There were times while reading this book I was smiling and then there were times when I had goosebumps. Generally, I put down books while my long reading hours for wiping my tears or writing a thought, for this book I kept it aside to rejoice the memories and smile endlessly and run to my mom to tell her all that came in the memory lane. No, it's not an ordinary love story, it's about the love of parents and friends and of course the first love, it had so much more. I'm waiting for the third book.
