When darkness

covered the world,

There was a moon

Reflecting light.

Just the way you

Kept me bright.

Let's go to a planetarium

After me.

I remember the night

When I was a star

So very far.

Covered in warmth,

So did you.

The calculations of

Light years,

And missing you

Tears.

Nights do strange things,

Our body chemistry

Changed.

diurnal hormones trying

To take over.

Makes us a

Little insane.

We knew the changes

Taking control.

Blaming melatonin

And the glands of brain.

It makes you go numb.

I heard conversations

After 3am are real ones.

Oh dear! I was

So secret so,

I let my mind be free

And we flew through

Wind.

Knowing that time flies

when you are mine.

No resistance,

Denial to closure

And one precious star

For every moon

You are.
